South India Tour

On the first day of your South India Tour, Once you've landed at the airport our representative will meet and assist you. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Kochi.

Our first stop for the day of the South India Tour will be the Jewish Synagogue which is closed on Fridays & Sundays, followed by the Mattancherry palace, built by the Portuguese back in 1555 and then gifted to the Raja of Cochin as a sign of goodwill.  

While visiting the church otherwise known as the Dutch church you'll get a chance to marvel at the wide Chinese-styled fish nets exclusive to the region.

Once you've had a chance to enjoy your breakfast on one of the Best India Tours, you will check out from the hotel and be driven down to Alleppey onboard the famous Houseboat through the even more famous backwaters of Kerala, spending the night on board the exquisite houseboat.

Today on this South India Tour, we will be visiting the spice plantations of Thekkady. While going through the plantation, your guide through Best India Tours will explain how the different spices are used in Indian cuisine.

Once you've arrived you will be checking in at your hotel.  

For the evening of South India Tours, we will be visiting the Meenakshi temple to witness the evening prayer ceremony.

We will be visiting the beautiful Meenakshi Temple with its enormous domes covered with a gaily colored statue as the domes dominate the landscape, visible from all over Madurai. The temple has 4 entrances, 12 towers, and a 100-pillar corridor. The day of Best India Tours ends with a paddle rickshaw ride through the Bylanes temple on your South India Tour.

Once you've had your breakfast on the South India Tour we will take a drive to Tanjore, where upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. 

During the Best India Tours, you will visit the Brihadeshwara temple, built by the great Chola King in the 10th century. The temple is a great example of architecture done right and is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

On one of the Best India Tours, drive to Tanjore. Once you've arrived you will be transported to the hotel for check-In. We will visit the Siri Brihadeshwara Temple, built by Chola King. 

Next on your South India Tours, you will be taken to Mahabalipuram, a tiny seaside village set in a boulder-strewn backdrop.

Through your South India Tours, visit to the Fice Rathas aka ceremonial chariots of the Five Pandavi heroes of the Mahabharata saga and Draupadi, their wife.

Then we will proceed to the seaside temple, where you will be surrounded by gardens designed to match the original ancient layout. 

The next visit of one of the Best India Tours for the day will be the Bhagirathas Peance, sculptured on the faces of the huge opposite rocks. Enjoy the rest of the day as you'd like.
