Welcome to Cairo, Egypt, For the First day of your Egypt and Turkey Tour, your tour manager will greet and help you at Cairo International Airport (arrival formalities) before escorting you to your hotel in a luxurious air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. The tour manager will assist you with a seamless check-in and go over your vacation itinerary with you to determine and confirm pick-up timings for each tour. Cairo will be your home for the night.
Start your Egypt and Turkey Tour with a tasty breakfast at your Cairo hotel, followed by a journey to the Giza Plateau to see the Big Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, as well as the famous Sphinx and Valley Temple facing the great statue. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant before heading to the Saqqara area to see the Saqqara Complex and the world's first pyramid (Djoser Pyramid). Then it's on to Memphis, the capital of the old monarchy and home to the famous Necropolis. You'll return to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

After breakfast at your Cairo hotel, your private tour guide will take you to the Egyptian Museum where you will see many amazing antiquities. Lunch will be provided at a local Cairo restaurant, followed by a tour to Salah El Din Citadel, which includes the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. You'll visit the Hanging Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Coptic Cairo. Then continue your journey to Islamic Cairo, where you can visit Khan El Khalili -- Cairo's historic bazaar. Return to the hotel and spend the night in Cairo.

Breakfast at your hotel, and you'll have the option of enjoying a free day in Cairo or joining our most valuable optional tour to Alexandria. There, you will see Qaitbay Citadel, one of the most important defensive strongholds not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast, built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the site of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse. Then the new and much-acclaimed Alexandria Library. You'll also get to visit the Catacombs; a Roman cemetery carved out of the rock. After the day's activities, you'll return to your Cairo hotel finalizing the 4th day of your Egypt and Turkey Tour.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Turkey. At Istanbul Airport, your English-speaking driver will greet and help you before escorting you to your hotel. Check into your room and take advantage of the free afternoon to explore Istanbul. In Istanbul, you will spend the night marking the fifth day of your Egypt and Turkey Tour Package.

After breakfast at the hotel, there will be a full-day tour of the Sultanahmet district, the UNESCO recognized center of old Istanbul, and lunch will follow. A local guide will lead the tour to Hagia Sophia. It was built in 537 AD as the world's first major dome structure, and it served as the Orthodox Church's religious focal point before being converted into a Muslim mosque. We examine its many one-of-a-kind decorations from the Byzantine and Turkish periods. After that, we'll take a short walk to the Blue Mosque. It was built in the 17th century and is famous for the magnificent blue Iznik tiles that adorn its walls. After that, you'll witness the German Fountain, which was given to Kaiser Wilhelm II as a gift.
Then we proceed to the Grand Bazaar. We will have some free time after our guide's introduction in a recommended store to peruse the 1200 spice and gold shops. Then we go to Topkapi Palace, which is awe-inspiring. Our guide takes us on a tour of the gardens' halls, where we can see an incredible collection of imperial and holy treasury golden thrones and emerald crowns. The Hagia Irene Church is the next sight to see (from outside). Our final stop is the Church of Sergius and Bacchus, now known as the "Petit Hagia Sophia Mosque," before returning to your accommodation and spending the night in Istanbul.

Breakfast comes first, then our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the Eminonu Pier. We will board a Bosphorus ferry for a 1.5 hour scenic trip through the Bosphorus strait, which runs through Istanbul and connects the continents of Asia and Europe. Our knowledgeable local guide tells us about various Ottoman palaces, historic fortresses, continental suspension bridges, and wealthy seaside villages with distinctive Ottoman architecture that we see along the shore. Then have a guided tour of the colorful 17th-century Spice Market, where we can smell and taste a variety of herbs and Turkish delicacies.
If time allows, we will make a brief stop at an Istanbul leather wholesaler. Then return to your hotel later in Istanbul to spend the night concluding the 7th day of your Egypt and Turkey Tour.
