Day 9: Riyadh Day Tour

  • Begin your day with a visit to Diriyyah, an ancient site located on the outskirts of Riyadh. This heritage-listed destination is believed to be the birthplace of the first Saudi state and currently serves as the residence of the royal family. The mud-brick walls that once surrounded this desert city were instrumental in protecting its thriving culture and trade. In 1745, Diriyyah was designated as the capital of Saudi Arabia, establishing a solid foundation for what would eventually become a unified nation.
  • Stroll through the old town to marvel at its numerous historical remains, including an exquisite palace, residential buildings, and a bustling marketplace. Next on your itinerary is Masmak Fort in Riyadh's old quarter; it was constructed during Abdullah bin Rashid's reign in 1895 A.D. Afterward, venture into Dirah Souq—a vibrant market renowned for its assortment of colorful textiles ranging from silk fabrics to opulent pashminas—before indulging in a delightful lunch break. This afternoon, be guided through the National Museum, a national treasure, and World Heritage Site, composed of eight galleries that tell the complete story of Arabian history - from the creation of the universe to the modern era.
  • Continue to Murabba Palace, built by King Abdul Aziz in 1937. A family dwelling, it was constructed from local materials and is composed of several smaller palaces, service buildings, and the Royal Diwan. Return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 10: Riyadh to AlUla Flight

  • Start your day by heading to the airport for your flight northwest to Al-Ula. Once you arrive, take the afternoon to explore the marvels of Madain Saleh, which is listed as a World Heritage Site. This ancient city was once known as 'Al Hegra' and served as a crucial stop on a lucrative trade route during ancient times. Covering an area of 2000 square meters, the site is filled with remnants and tombs carved into rocks. Make sure to visit key attractions like the Nabatean Well, Qasr Al Bint, Diwan Tomb, Al Farid Palace, and even the well-preserved railway station.
  • Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant during your tour. If time permits, head over to Harrat Uairedh which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from its highest point in town. Take in the beauty of the sunset while sipping on traditional Arabic coffee or tea accompanied by delicious dates. Return to the hotel for overnight in AlUla for 2 nights.

Day 11: AlUla Tours

  • Start your full day of exploration in AlUla by meeting your guide in the hotel lobby. Embark on a journey to discover the marvels of Dadan and Jabal Ikmah, both recognized as World Heritage sites. Jabal Ikmah is often referred to as an expansive open-air library, boasting an abundance of diverse inscriptions found within AlUla. Dadan served as the capital for both the Dadan and Lihyan kingdoms, standing as a testament to its rich history dating back to the 9th and 8th centuries BCE. This city, constructed from stone, showcases an array of remarkable features, including more than ten tombs intricately carved into red-rock cliffs. Among these tombs lies one particularly renowned burial site called 'Lion Tombs', where seated lion sculptures signify the resting place for esteemed members of society. After your mountainous adventures, make your way to Old Town, where you can delve into the captivating history of Al-Ula while taking leisurely strolls through lush oasis landscapes and local farms. Get acquainted with a local family and enjoy a delightful tea session with them before continuing onward. To cap off this incredible day, venture towards one iconic landmark known as 'Elephant Rock'. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in AlUla.

Day 12: Flight to Jeddah

Transfer from your hotel/resort in AlUla for a flight to Jeddah.

Arrive at Jeddah airport by evening time and transfer to the hotel for check-in & overnight stay.

Day 13: Jeddah | Madinah | Jeddah

  • Begin your day by being picked up from your hotel and taken to the Jeddah train station. From there, you will board a high-speed seating train that will transport you to Madinah. The journey typically takes around 2 hours, reaching speeds of up to 300 kilometers per hour.
  • Upon arrival at the Madinah train station, you will be greeted by a private guide who will accompany you on a day tour. This tour includes visits to the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization, as well as Qiba Street which connects two significant mosques - the Holy Mosque and Qiba Mosque. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to explore Souq Taiba.
  • During this excursion, lunch will be provided at one of the prestigious five-star hotels with stunning views overlooking Prophet Mohamed Mosque. Please note that access inside the mosques is restricted exclusively for Muslims; however, non-Muslims are allowed to admire them from outside.
  • After completing your tour in Madinah, it's time to return back to Jeddah via train. Upon arrival at the Jeddah train station, private transportation will be arranged for your convenience and take you back to your hotel, where you'll spend overnight in Jeddah

Day 14: Jeddah

  • Begin your day by exploring the Tayebat Museum, a privately owned collection that spans four floors. This museum showcases a wide range of artifacts, including pre-Islamic pieces, exquisite Islamic manuscripts, ancient coins and weapons, as well as stunning furniture, pottery, and traditional Saudi attire. Afterwards, make your way to the Jeddah Open Museum. Situated in a picturesque area along the new corniche, this museum boasts one of the largest collections of models. Take advantage of the picnic options available while enjoying this unique experience. Don't miss out on visiting the 'floating mosque', an architectural wonder that seemingly drifts upon the water's surface. Bask in its shimmering beauty under the sun and take a moment to appreciate breathtaking views overlooking the Red Sea. 
  • Next on your itinerary is King Fahd's Fountain - also known as Jeddah Fountain - which holds claim to being the tallest fountain of its kind worldwide. Witness saltwater shooting up from depths below into majestic heights reaching 300 meters above sea level. The force behind it propels water at speeds exceeding 300 kilometers per hour. Conclude your day with an exploration of Al-Balad (Old Town), where you will encounter Jeddah's traditional architecture. Immerse yourself in centuries-old Ottoman houses constructed using coral and reinforced with wooden beams. One notable structure is the Nasif House; built during 1850 by the influential Nasif Family who played a vital role in shaping Jeddah's trading history.
