Tourist at the Bosporus Lake

The Bosphorus Strait

The Bosphorus strait, a dazzling expanse, separates Istanbul's European and Asian sides. This location takes on a new dimension when viewed from one of the numerous ferries and cruise boats that often cross the Bosphorus. The bustling Bosphorus canal, which connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara and is spanned by three breathtaking suspension bridges, is a major commercial shipping route that is also often used by passenger ferries and tourist boats. The best way to see Istanbul is from the water, which offers views of both Asia and Europe as well as a shoreline lined with magnificent palaces, stunning mosques, and imposing public buildings. As you travel further from the city, you will also come across small inlets and fishing villages.

Bosphorus Boat Tour, Turkey Tours

This cruise makes stops throughout the Bosphorus, giving passengers the chance to explore Istanbul's palaces, mosques, and bridges. With a day-long boat ticket, you may leisurely explore several neighborhoods. It takes slightly over an hour and a half to complete the entire journey if you stay on the boat; however, you can get off at each stop and board the following boat one or two hours later.

The destinations are Emirgan, Küçüksu, Beylerbeyi, and Beşiktaş, each of which has a distinct point of interest, and they all begin and end at Kabataş Pier. While Beylerbeyi is home to a royal summer palace and mosque, Emirgan offers the chance to see an 18th-century mosque and take in Turkish coffee or a shoreline stroll. Küçüksu is well known for a 19th-century Neo-Baroque royal hunting pavilion. When you get back to Kabatas, you may ride the tram or the funicular to well-known locations like Taksim or the ancient city of Sultanahmet.

Standard Shuttles

Joining the tens of thousands of locals who use one of the regular shuttles to cross the Bosphorus every day is one of the greatest ways to experience it. Despite the metro system, the Eurasia road tunnel, and the three suspension bridges, many residents still rely on and appreciate the city's regular boat services to move about. Eminönü to Kadköy, which connects Europe and Asia and gives breathtaking views of the city, is a popular commuting route.

Another stop on Culture Trip's carefully planned tour of Istanbul is the cosmopolitan Kadköy neighborhood on the Asian side, which is known for its bustling fish and vegetable market, evocative alleyways and buildings, boutiques, booksellers, cafés, and eateries. Here, you'll continue your street food sampling tour with dishes like kaymak (buffalo cream cheese with honey), stuffed vine leaves, durum kebab, and beautiful baklava.

The iconic Haydarpaşa train terminus is located in Kadköy. Leaving Eminönü at dusk affords breathtaking views of Sultanahmet across the Sea of Marmara, with the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, and the Aya Sofya's minarets silhouetted against the skyline.

There are a ton of alternative routes on the itinerary that you may choose from in order to cross the Bosphorus at your leisure while sipping a drink of çay (tea) on deck, in addition to the Eminönü to Kadköy crossing.

What to Enjoy

On a Bosphorus trip, snacks, baklava, fresh seasonal fruit, soft drinks, and live guide commentary in English and Spanish are often available. You can also capture the beauty of Istanbul's sunsets. It's a great way for families to spend time together and for individuals to unwind after a day in Istanbul. The night could be continued with a trip to the Bosphorus or a celebratory gathering. Race to the spacious open decks or the 360-degree as the sun sets for unrivaled views of the Dolmabahce Palace, Rumeli Fortress, and the Bosphorus Bridges as you travel through the strait that separates Europe from Asia.

It's the ideal opportunity to capture the city, the sun setting, and the skyline. You may choose to disembark for a nightcap at one of the many nightclubs in the Taksim area as our boat, the SUNSET BOSPHORUS, cruises around the Golden Horn shoreline at the conclusion of the voyage.

The city, the setting sun, and the skyline are the perfect subjects for a photograph. At the end of the excursion, while our boat, the SUNSET BOSPHORUS, glides around the Golden Horn shoreline, you may opt to disembark for a nightcap at one of the numerous nightclubs in the Taksim neighborhood.

Sea

You will view some of the Bosphorus' most famous locations while on this excursion. The Dolmabahce Palace is the first notable sight after leaving the Eminonu harbor. After the Topkapi Palace, the royal family's house was the Dolmabahce Palace, which was constructed in the 19th century under Sultan Abdulmecid's orders.
