Trip to Brazil

• Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, your driver will meet you at the airport and you will be transferred to your hotel. From there, you will have the rest of the day to enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer. Let's begin your trip to Brazil!
• The most popular beaches - Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon, are famous for their black and white tiled promenade. You can also enjoy various water sports, drink fresh, delicious fruit juice, and listen to live local musicians.

• After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a half-day trip to Sugarloaf Mountain. Atop this mountain range, you can eat lunch at the local restaurant and take in the glorious views of Rio, Copacabana Beach, bridge Niteroi, and the famous statue of Christ on Corcovado Mountain.
• Once you’ve arrived back in Rio de Janeiro, you can join a city tour in English and admire the main cathedral, several old churches, monasteries, and old buildings built in the colonial style.

• After breakfast, a train will take you out of the city, through the jungle, and to the top of Mount Corcovado. Here, you will be able to witness the spectacular views of Tihuja Forest, Guanabara Bay, and Sugarloaf.
• Best of all, you will be at the feet of the symbol of Rio, Christ the Redeemer. This famous statue was built in 1931 and stands 38m tall. 

• After breakfast, you will fly to Foz de Iguacu and settle into your hotel. From there, you’ll travel to the top of the Foz de Iguaca Falls, which stands at the borders of Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil. The water falls a terrifying 72m and is an amazing contrast to the calm beaches and lazy rivers of Foz de Iguaca.

Optional: Macuco Safari

• An extra excursion on your trip to Brazil, that you can sign up for in advance is the Macuco Safari through the jungle. Enjoy a jeep ride, a boat ride, and finally a walk along the banks of the Iguazu River. Along the way, a knowledgeable guide will relay fascinating facts and history about the local culture and surrounding wildlife. (optional for $125)

Optional: Bird Park

• Another excursion you can sign up for in advance is a tour through the local bird park. Inside an enormous open-air cage, birds of all shapes, sizes, and colors, fly through the air and walk along the rainforest floor. (optional for $65).

• After breakfast, you will get a chance to visit the Foz de Iguaca falls from the bottom where the river descends. On the Argentinian side, the bridge Tancredo Neves crosses the river and gives you a full view of the Devil’s Throat”. 

• After breakfast, you will fly to Rio and then drive to the town of Buzios. Once you have settled into your hotel there, you will have the rest of the day to relax and explore.   

• The last day of your trip to Brazil will be in Buzios is yours to use up however you wish! You can enjoy local shopping, water sports, and lounging at one of the area’s beautiful beaches. 

• Sadly, this is the end of your trip to Brazil. After breakfast, you will be driven to the Rio de Janeiro airport for your international flight back home.
