Welcome to Mexico City! Once you arrive at the airport, the tour representative will assist you and transfer you to your hotel.
After breakfast we will explore Mexico City. Let's visit the Plaza de la Constitución or Zocalo, the National Palace (if open) to admire the murals of Diego Rivera, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Old Major Temple Azteca city (exterior only) and the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, located in Tlatelolco
We will continue to the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán, where there are many pre-Hispanic monuments, such as the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid de la Luna, the Avenue of the Dead, the Citadel, the Temple of Quetzalcóatl and the Palace of the Butterflies.
Stop for lunch and return to Mexico City and visit the Basilica of Guadalupe.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Enjoy this day at leisure to be spent as you prefer. You can, for example, visit the Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important in the world. You can also visit Xochimilco, Cuernavaca or Taxco, which are in the surroundings of Mexico City.
Continuation towards Tula, an old city that developed between 900 and 1200. There you will explore its pyramids.
Next comes Querataro, known as "Pearl of the Bajio" and a World Heritage Site. The place is home of buildings of baroque style from the XVII and XVIII centuries.
After lunch we will continue to San Miguel de Allende, where you can enjoy free time.
Enjoy a San Miguel city tour in the morning. The Neo-Gothic Cathedral is one of the highlights.
Continuation to Atotonilco, and visit to its chapel, which dates from the XVI century and blends European and native culture influences.
Next, stop at Dolores Hilgado, a city of political importance as it was where the country's independence idea as born. The famous singer José Alfredo Jiménez was buried there.
Finally, we will continue to the World Heritage City of Guanajuato, where you will visit the Monument of the Pípila, the Juarez Theater, the Union Garden, the Plaza del Baratillo, the University, the Hidalgo Market, the Alley of the Kiss and the Alhóndiga de Granaditas.
Enjoy the rest of the time at leisure to walk in downtown.
We will continue towards Tepotzotlan and enjoy a short tour that includes a visit to the Virreinal Museum, a Baroque-style church in the past.
Return to Mexico City.
In the morning we will enjoy a tour in Cuernavaca, known as the "City of Eternal Spring". There we will visit the exterior of the Cortés Palace and the oldest cathedral in Mexico.
Next, we will continue to Taxco, a city or narrow streets and rich in silver mines. There we will see the Church of Santa Prisca, the Plaza Borda, the Municipal Palace and the silver shops.
After lunch we return to Mexico City.
We will transfer you to the airport to fight to Tuxtla Gutierrez (flight not included). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Chipada de Corzo and take the boat that will make the River Grijalva tour. During the tour, you will be able to admire the Sumidero Canyon.
Return to Chiapa de Corzo for lunch and transfer to San Cristobal de las Casas.
In San Cristoban de las Casas, we will visit an indigenous market, the amber museum and the Temple of Santo Domingo.
Continuation to the colourful local communities of Tzotziles of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
This day is dedicated to nature. We will walk through some dense vegetation and reach the Yaxhá River, which will take us to the waterfalls of Agua Azul, known for its blight blue colour.
Next, let’s go to the Misol-Ha waterfall, where there is possibility of bathing.
Transfer to Palenque.
We will explore the archaeological site of Palenque, an ancient Mayan city. Visits to the temple of The Inscriptions (Tomb of Pakal), the Palace, Temples of the Sun and the Foliada Cross, Queen's Bath in Otulum Creek.
Lunch will be taken on the route to Campeche, a Cultural Heritage Site. Tour in Campeche.
Let’s visit the Mayan archaeological site of Uxmal and see the Pyramid of the Soothsayer, the friezes of the Quadrangule of the Nuns, the shells of the Turtle Building and the panoramas from the Governor's Temple.
After lunch, we will have city tour In Merida, which includes the residential zone, the monument to the fatherland, the Paseo Montejo, the Twin Houses, 60th Street, the Zocalo and the Cathedral.
We will continue to Chichen Itza, a Mayan archaeological site that is one the New 7 Wonders of the World. Visits to the Observatory, the Castle Pyramid, the Ball Game, the Sacred Cenote and other temples of interest.
After lunch we will visit the Cenote de Ikkil and transfer you to Cancun or Riviera Maya, where this package tour ends.
