Once you arrive at the airport, the tour representative will meet and assist you during the arrival procedures and then escort you to your hotel. 

You can enjoy the rest of the day as you prefer, rather to rest from the trip or to explore Cuzco by yourself. 

After breakfast you will have the morning free to enjoy it as you feel.

But in the afternoon we will start Peru Package with a Cuzco guided city tour. Let’s visit the Convent of Santo Domingo (built on the Inca temple of Coricancha), followed by the Cathedral.

Run to the hills! That’s where you will explore the fortress of Sacsayhuamán and benefit from its panoramic view of the city. 

Next, we will go to Qenqo, an Incan religious archaeological site, and finally to Puka Pukara, in Quechua. This last one is an Incan fort for military use.
 

Meals: Breakfast              

After breakfast we will enjoy a tour starting by the Sacred Valley, where the Palace of Tissues is located. Known as Awanakancha, this palace works as an exhibition centre where visitors can learn about Peruvian garments and buy products.

Next we will visit the Pisac market, where the locals sell a variety of handcrafted products, followed by a stop for lunch, before we arrive in Ollantaytambo, where you will visit its fortress. 

Meals: Breakfast and lunch         

After breakfast, we will start our journey to Machu Picchu. We will take train and pass through some beautiful Andean landscapes towards Aguas Calientes, from where we will take a tour bus to our final destination. 

Once in Machu Picchu, you will hear from the tour guide more about the history and origin of the place, and will visit the main monuments: the main square, the royal quarters, the three-window temple, the circular towers, the sacred clock and the cemeteries. 

Return to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy the rest of the day as it pleases you.

Note: Due to luggage restrictions on board trains to and from Machu Picchu, passengers are granted only one (1) small package of maximum 5 kg (11 lbs).

You will have the morning to return to Machu Picchu and explore the parts of the complex you could not on the previous day. There is a lot to see, and you can take the opportunity to visit the Intipunku (Puerta del Sol) and the Inca Bridge, for example. 

We will take the train back to Cuzco and you will be transferred to your hotel. 

Enjoy the day at leisure in Cuzco to discover the city on your own way. 

You will be escorted to the airport to take the flight to Puerto Maldonado, which gives access to the Amazon Jungle. Upon your arrival in the next destination we will travel on a river boat for a 40 minutes navigation to where we are going to stay.

In the afternoon you will enter the jungle with your tour guide. You will see the many tropical trees and plants, and visit a shiringuero encampment and see how rubber is extracted from the trees.

Before dinner, enjoy a boat trip in the evening and maybe to spot some animals in the surroundings of the river.

After an early wake up, get ready for a short transfer by river until reaching Lake Sandoval. We will hike 3km passing through the wild vegetation towards Tambopata National Reserve. There, you will see some animals in their natural habitat, such as birds and different species of monkeys, and marvelous types of trees. 

Time to take a small boat and spot a number of animals such as mammals, reptiles and the giant river otters. Stop for breakfast and return. 

After lunch, visit to the towers of Corto Maltès Amazonía, that are used for bird watching. Enjoy the fabulous sunset.

Next, let’s check out a Brazil nut camp, as these nuts are one of main economic activities in the region.

After breakfast we will visit the Machiguenga people, they are one of the indigenous groups in Peruvian Amazon, and you will know more about their culture, values, ancestors and have some enriched experience. 

Next, let’s go down the river and visit a family farm where you can have a taste of seasonal tropical fruits that are grown organically.

After an early wake up, you will walk to a clay lick where parrots come to ingesting that particular type of clay. 

Return to Puerto Maldonado after breakfast. Enjoy a walk at the local market while waiting for your flight to Lima, where upon arrival you will be escorted to your hotel.

Time to explore the city of Lima, Peru’s capital, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visits to the Larco Museum, to Casa Aliaga, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and other historic buildings. 

Enjoy the final moments of your trip. We will then escort you to the airport so you take your flight back home.
