among Costa Ricans due to its proximity to the center, or go to Playa
Hermosa. This beach is located approximately 10 minutes from Jacó,
but its currents are stronger. This means that Playa Hermosa is not
recommended for swimming or beginner surfers. It is known for the
most constant waves in the world. This is why it was chosen to host
the 2009 World Surfing Championships, which brought together the
best surfers in the world and attracted the attention of millions of people.
