DAY 2: San Jose – Puerto Viejo (217 km – 4hs)
In the morning, departure to Puerto Viejo. Puerto Viejo is a luxury
destination for surfers. Here, the legendary wave known as Salsa Brava
awaits experienced surfers. 2 kilometers away is Cocles, another
notable beach for surfers.

DAY 3: Puerto Viejo

DAY 4: Puerto Viejo – Playa Dominical (354 km – 7 hs)
Day Trip to Playa Dominical, one of the destinations with the strongest
and fastest waves in the country.

DAY 5: Playa Dominical
Free day to surf on its beaches. Near this beach is also located the
Marino Ballena National Park, which is the best place for whale
watching in the country.

DAY 6: Playa Dominical – Playa Pavones (175 km – 3 hs)
Today you will go to Pavones, a secluded beach in the South Pacific of
the province of Puntarenas. This ensures that its waters are not very
crowded and that the surrounding landscapes are impressive, but it
also makes surfing conditions unpredictable. Some say that on a good
day, Pavones is the best beach for surfing in Costa Rica and one of the
longest lefts in the world.

DAY 7: Playa Pavones

DAY 8: Playa Pavones – Jacó (280 km – 4.30 hs)
After breakfast, we will go to the town of Jacó. In the afternoon, you
can choose to go surfing on its busy beaches, one of the most popular
among Costa Ricans due to its proximity to the center, or go to Playa
Hermosa. This beach is located approximately 10 minutes from Jacó,
but its currents are stronger. This means that Playa Hermosa is not
recommended for swimming or beginner surfers. It is known for the
most constant waves in the world. This is why it was chosen to host
the 2009 World Surfing Championships, which brought together the
best surfers in the world and attracted the attention of millions of people.

DAY 9: Manuel Antonio
Today you will visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. It is one of the
smallest and most popular national parks in Costa Rica. Visitors to
Manuel Antonio can enjoy a relaxing day at one of the four unspoiled
beaches or take a hike through the vibrant green rainforest. From
natural seawater pools with crustaceans to endangered species of
monkeys and breath-taking panoramic views, Manuel Antonio
National Park is a spectacular destination. At the end of the afternoon,
return to Jaco.

DAY 10: Jaco – Santa Teresa
In the morning, you will go to Puntarenas to take the ferry to Paquera.
From there, we will go to Santa Teresa, 1 hour from there. It is one of
the most popular towns for surfers and yoga lovers. It offers several
spots for surfing, most of them recommended only for intermediate
and advanced surfers.

DAY 11: Santa Teresa

DAY 12: Santa Teresa – Playa Nosara (129 km – 4 hs)
In the morning, departure to Playa Nosara. Nosara is a large, dark sand
beach, ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers. It is not as
crowded as other Guanacaste beaches such as Tamarindo or Playa Grande. This beach was named
by National Geographic among the 20 best surf towns in the world and by The New York Times as
the Best destination to visit in Costa Rica. In addition, there is another popular white sand beach
perfect for beginners and advanced users near Nosara: Playa Guiones. Guiones is perfect for
surfing for the first time, due to the very little crowded waters.

DAY 13: Playa Nosara and Playa Guiones
Day off to enjoy the beach.

DAY 14: Playa Nosara – Tamarindo (69 km – 2 hs)
Drive to Tamarindo. It is one of the most important destinations for surfing in Costa Rica and
according to the renowned Forbes magazine, the most popular beach
in Costa Rica. One of the reasons this beach is so popular is that it is
perfect for both beginner and more experienced surfers.

DAY 15 AND 16: Playas de Guanacaste
Free days to surf in Tamarindo, or in other incredible destinations such
as Playa Avellanas, Playa Negra, Playa Grande and even Roca Bruja.

DAY 17: Guanacaste – San Jose (259 km – 04.10 hs)
In the morning, departure to the San Jose airport to take your flight back. Depending on the
schedule, one more night in the city will be added.
