Familiar Costa Rica

Welcome to San José, Costa Rica. Reception at Juan Santamaría airport and transfer to hotel in San José. The capital of San José is located in the middle of the Central Valley and in the center of the country, considered one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America. The city is located in a strategic point near the main tourist attractions such as: historical buildings, museums, theaters, artisan markets, beautiful parks, shopping centers and offers a varied gastronomic offer.

Departure in the morning where you will cross the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is the largest in the central region, until you reach the Guápiles area where you will enjoy a delicious typical breakfast. On the way, you will pass through banana plantations until you reach the jetty where you will board your boat. From here, the boat tour will continue crossing rivers and canals for approximately an hour and a half until arriving at the hotel for lunchtime. In the afternoon, guided visit to the picturesque town of Tortuguero. Dinner included at the lodge.

Breakfast at the lodge. Guided walk in the morning on the private trails of the lodge. Free time to enjoy the facilities before lunch. In the afternoon, boat tour through the canals of the Tortuguero National Park. Tortuguero National Park is one of the wild areas with the greatest biological biodiversity, famous for being the habitat of seven species of turtles, surrounded by tropical forests and exuberant flora. We also recommend the nocturnal turtle spawning excursion. Dinner included.

Mid-morning departure through the canals to take transport terrestrial, after disembarking at the dock where again a stop will be made in the
Guápiles for lunch. Then transfer to the Northern Plains, where the impressive and conical Arenal Volcano one of the natural wonders of the country for its majesty. Along the way and until you reach the town of La Fortuna, you will be able to appreciate agricultural plantations, ornamental plants, and cattle farms.

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit a peasant farm where organic crops are grown and responsible and environmentally friendly practices are used. You will learn about the importance of preserving the typical Costa Rican culture and traditions and learn about the main crops that have strengthened the Costa Rican economy. Then you will enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch. Later, you will hike inside the Arenal Volcano National Park, where it will take you through vegetation and changing terrain of the ancient lava rivers called las Coladas.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Monteverde, with an extension of rainy and cloud forests and spectacular biodiversity. Monteverde is home to one of the rarest and most unique habitats on the planet and an astonishing variety of flora and fauna. During the journey, you will observe landscapes really beautiful and you will go through some typical localities of the country. 
Leave the hotel before dark for a night walk. At this time, many species emerge and show a unique show in which only you, the darkness, and the impressive forest will witness.
Overnight in Monteverde
 

Breakfast at the hotel. Adventure day where you will enjoy the forest at all its levels. Zip line tour where you will cross the canopy of the cloud forest suspended on cables using specialized mountaineering equipment. You will live a wonderful experience and sensations that are only comparable when flying through the forest. Next, you will walk through the hanging bridges, where you will be able to appreciate a wide variety of flora and fauna. Lunch in the park. Later, they will be able to appreciate the butterfly garden that houses more than 30 different species and a hummingbird garden with more than 14 species.

This morning you will begin your journey descending from the mountains to the warm Central Pacific coast. If your choice is Manuel Antonio, this park is the smallest of the national parks in Costa Rica but also one of the most visited for its beautiful beaches between mountains, forests and the wildlife in its natural habitat that it offers. If Punta Leona is your choice, this is a fascinating place for nature and bird watching lovers who are exposed to Costa Rica's rich biological diversity.

Walk in the Manuel Antonio National Park where in addition to the beaches, the park has several trails for walking, viewpoints and the probability of crossing with animals, especially the 4 species of Costa Rican monkeys, sloths, coaties and raccoons.
From Punta Leona, you will take the boat excursion in the Estero de Guacalillo and the Tárcoles River that offers the opportunity to observe a large population of crocodiles. Discover the mangrove with a high percentage of biodiversity, water birds and one of the main conservation areas of the Scarlet Macaw.
